this is my system info. Dell xps one 2 GB ram Intel core 2 duo cpu e4500 2.2 ghz windows vista latest updates Intel G33/G31 express chipset family usb printer installed
When I run the Livd cd in the "standard" setting it wont boot and the screen goes black. If I restart and use the "Vesa" video driver I can get into the desktop just fine BUT with very degraded resolution. my concern is that IF I install with standard settings I wont be able to boot into desktop. I REALLY want out of windows Badly... I want to use either Opensolaris or Ubuntu but I get basically the same problem so I am sure its my video card, what can I do.
