the problem with solaris is there is no support and its very complicated - you can pick up things here n there but in my experience all my data is on it and nobody can help me get it off there. you surely dont want to get into that situation. ive been on this forum a month and nobody can figure out my problem, and i assume sun employees come here.
if i was you i would go with freebsd, or another linux distro. ive found sabayon to have good hardware support and its based on my favourite distro gentoo. solaris at this point is not good for the home user. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
