Thanks to an AMD bug that's not getting fixed until SNV_126, (LiveCD won't boot), I had to install SNV_124 via pkg.
I followed it word-for word: pfexec pkg set-publisher -O http://pkg.opensolaris.org/dev opensolaris.org I tried "pfexec pkg image-update", but it wouldn't work until I updated SUNWipkg. So I updated that, and then: pfexec pkg image-update So it showed up in Grub as opensolaris-1. However, the loading bar (the small orange bar in the loading screen) never appears, and it essentially hangs at the loading screen. Is there a fix for this, or at least a way to skip the loading screen so I can see specifically what error I'm getting? Barring that, is there any way to swap the 2009.06 LiveCD for a newer one after it's loaded? P.S. Why does the forum contain tags like [b] for making text bold when THEY DON'T WORK?
