Hello I'm a beginner at OpenSolaris. I Only used some Linux Distributions before.
At the last time I heard very much about (Open)solaris. Only positiv thinks. I download the installation Cd, an Install it on my PC. After the Very simple installation, I do the first start. (It takes A very,very long time) --> About 3 mins. Then I started Firefox. I was amazed that the installed Firefox Version is 3.1. You know, 3.5 is the latest version. Then I will do a Upgrade. I started the upgrade manager. "System-->System Preferences-->Update Manager" But when I do this, Solaris tells me, that it gives no Updates!?! That's very stupid. SO my question is, how can I bring my system to the latest ? PS. For the installation I used the latest Cd, Downloaded from sun.com! Thanks for help! -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
