In an effort to install Opensolaris as a fileserver within Vmware, I've been
bitten by a few bugs.

1) CIFS sharing seems to be broken in 2009.06 - under use, the CIFS shares shut
down. The acknowledged steps around this bug is to update Opensolaris to the
newest dev build, currently 127.

2) Dev builds since around 119 through the current 127, panic on boot under
vmware. The acknowledged steps around this bug are to enter -B
disable-pcieb=true under the grub kernel parameters, but this does not actually
resolve the bug - for which a new bug has already been registered.

Are there then any steps I might consider to enable our goal of installing
Opensolaris under vmware as a fileserver to make use of the stellar ZFS-related
functionalities in Opensolaris?

The combination of the zfs bug with the vmware bug seems to have thwarted all
my attempts to date.
