If you want real Open and Free system(including updates) then you must take a look elsewhere. But to be fair OpenSolaris is very stable even in dev version and I think that more then in release version so you can choose.
If you are company then you can't have problems to pay for support. If you are end user then you can use dev without problems thanks to ZFS + BE -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
