I want to give opensolaris a try as a development platform. I a web application developer. uname -a output: SunOS opensolaris 5.11 snv_111b i86pc i386 i86pc Solaris
The problems I am facing are: 1) Sound sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. It seems this updating the kernel and userland tools to snv 118 and above should fix this problem according to the post[http://opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?messageID=428267]. But I don't know how to update the same. 2) I use colemak keyboard layout on all my systems but I am unable to find the same in the package manager. It is there on all the linux distros I have tried till date also in freebsd and netbsd. 3) When is the release date for opensolaris 2010.02 OpenSolaris feels like a very solid OS.
