I tried to update via the update manger and got this message: Error: The requested operation would affect files that cannotbe modified in the Live Image. Please retry this operation on an alternate boot environment.
Then I realized it didn't prompt me to name a new BE, so I tried the command line: # pkg image-update -v --be-name OpenSolaris-0.5.11-0.129 WARNING: pkg(5) appears to be out of date, and should be updated before running image-update. Please update pkg(5) using 'pfexec pkg install SUNWipkg' and then retry the image-update. Attempting to follow the advice there: # pfexec pkg install SUWipkg Creating Plan pkg: The following pattern(s) did not match any packages in the current catalog. Try relaxing the pattern, refreshing and/or examining the catalogs: SUWipkg SUNWipkg comes up in the GUI package manager, but it refuses to update just one package. So I appear to be caught in a loop, any help? Update from 127-128 went fine, not sure what has changed here. -Jase -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
