Woops! I did. I tried again, with out the fat fingers:
pkg install SUNWipkg DOWNLOAD PKGS FILES XFER (MB) Completed 749/749 12151/12151 344.9/344.9 pkg: Requested "install" operation would affect files that cannot be modified in live image. Please retry this operation on an alternate boot environment. Ah so the text packager util does the same thing as the GUI, which is that it won't update 1 package. Is there a way to force an image update? -Jase On Mon, Dec 14, 2009 at 2:03 PM, Alan Coopersmith <Alan.Coopersmith at sun.com>wrote: > Jase Whipp wrote: > > # pfexec pkg install SUWipkg > > Creating Plan > > pkg: The following pattern(s) did not match any packages in the current > catalog. > > Try relaxing the pattern, refreshing and/or examining the catalogs: > > SUWipkg > > You typo'ed and missed the "N" in SUNW. > > -- > -Alan Coopersmith- alan.coopersmith at sun.com > Sun Microsystems, Inc. - X Window System Engineering > > -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
