I just updated to 130 from the Dev repository. All seemed to go OK through to completion but there are some issues. Can anyone help ? I'm a beginner at this
I get the following messages on startup: Dialogue box: "Could not update ICEauthority file/.ICEauthority" [close] Dialogue box: "There is a problem with the configuration server (usr/lib/gconf-sanity-check-2 exited with status 256)" [close] login screen eventually appears -> login -> Gnome desktop. >From a RESTART I get to the Gnome desktop which then freezes (no mouse) just >before the network connection is established. On shutdown, after the Gnome screen disappears I get the following on the (black) screen: kernel/drv/austr undefined symbol sunstr_fini kernel/drv/austr undefined symbol sunstr_info kernel/drv/austr undefined symbol sunstr_init cannot load module austr That appears 3x Should I try a new install, or can a beginner sort this from a shell session - or wait 2010-02(3?) ?
