Well, then you only need to enable vitrualization. Do you have the newest version of BIOS?
As for resolution problems, I can't help you. I haven't used VirtualBox yet, but I think it is probably a problem with its settings. I have never used Viewsonic, but I don't think monitor itsefl has anything to do with low resolution. If I remember correctly ubuntu tires to detect your highest resolution. It used to fail for me on some virtual machines. Try setting it by hand in settings in ubuntu or VirtualBox. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
