Uh so much Nvidia crap ;-) You can be happy that you are able to start install
CD or Live CD. Nvidia doesn't provide documentation for its buggy HW and offer
buggy SW for people which use Win/Lin so that they can "use" their computers.
Regarding funcionality it's really good idea to avoid buying something from
Nvidia. In your concrete case you can wait for other builds if developers will
provide at least some support. There were similar problems on OpenBSD which are
somewhat ok now in current. It can be MPC79 chipset as a family, but there can
be different revision or completely different "kernel".
