There are many legacy devices that Opensolaris/Solaris doesn't support. There are also some particular companies with closed interfaces that drivers aren't available for (For example, Broadcom wireless devices need to use NDISwrapper).
You can check the supported hardware by running the detection tool on the LiveCD, or download the latest at: http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl/hcts/device_detect.jsp The (incomplete) list of supported devices can be found at: http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl/ There are things you can do to track down the source of the reboot loop, but usually changing the BIOS settings or boot command will get you installed. You can also try the latest build 132. It supports a lot more devices than 111b did: http://www.genunix.org/ Gary -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
