Hi everyone, I am very new to OpenSolaris and to Unix in general so please bear
with my ignorance.
I recently setup a home fileserver with RAID-Z that serves a variety of clients
including a Windows 7 PC via CIFS.
The problem is when I restart or boot the Windows 7 PC, the OSol fileserver
simply dissappears from the network and I can't access any shared
folders/files. However, I can still access the Web Interface of Transmission
Bittorrent from the Windows 7 PC.
The problem goes away when I restart the OpenSolaris box with the Windows 7 PC
turned on.
I need to work out a permanent solution so that the OSol box can stay on
permanently without it going AWOL whenever other clients are turned off. I
intend to run the server in headless mode so it is pretty important that I fix
this problem so that I can leave it alone.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, if you need any specific information
please just direct me to what is required and I will post it up.

Thankyou,
Rhys
