As a result of the responses to my last thread, I've now gotten interested in learning about boot milestones. From what I can tell, this concept seems similar to init runlevels in Linux. I've been searching for some documentation on the subject, but I haven't found anything satisfactory. I've found the grub kernel parameters to select the pre-defined boot milestones. But what if I want to define my own milestones? I think it would be really nifty to be able to define my own boot configurations.
