Yes, as said, the same did work for me too. Besides that then in emacs backspace and delete where switched with the usual way of fixing that in emacs itself did non work. I took that for a reason to infocmp | ...edit ... | tic hack the Linux terminfo file which got me a fully functional emacs. Chees, Frank
