I had the same problem as ksaman. I installed opensolaris snv_134 on my z61m thinkpad laptop via a USB stick and whenever I would boot, it would restart shortly after the orange progress indicator appeared. By editing the kernel line in the grub boot menu to remove the 'console=graphics' part, I was able to get in. Strangely, I expected to boot up in a text mode, but I still got a blue screen and then ended up in a GUI console. The only difference I could see in the boot process was that I didn't see the progress indicator. I suppose I could now change the /rpool/boot/grub/menu.lst file to permanently remove the ',console=graphics' from the 'kernel$' line, but I'm wondering if that's the correct fix. Is it?
