Check my post about Solaris Express on Virtual PC. In general, it applies to slow 32-bit x86 machines. Skipping all comments, try the following:
start the kernel with -kdv (the -v is optional) ::bp execmap (set a breakpoint in execmap) :c (continue) - at least 4 times ::delete all (remove the breakpoint) :c (resume booting) To specify parameters for the kernel, on the GRUB menu press 'e' twice, type '-kdv', press Enter and 'b' to boot. If this works for you too, file a note. This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list [email protected]
