Okay...here's what I got: 3. type the following: mv /kernel/drv /kernel/drv- mv /kernet/drv/devinfo* /kernel/drv rm -fr /kernel/drv- rm -fr /usr/kernel/drv rm -fr /platform/i86pc/kernel/drv devfsadm
screen corruption. I don't think adding back in the pseudo device driver will help in this case. Because copying the devinfo binary to my b21 image did not cause any issues, I'm wondering if there is a bug in devfsadm or the kernel that I'm exercising when I do a devfsadm. I'm almost thinking of trying the devinfo binary from b21 on a b24 CD to see what happens but I'm not sure how I can do that and my laptop has no floppy drive. Any other suggestions? I REALLY don't want to go back and run Linux on my laptop as you can see how persistent I am about fixing this bug. Maybe I could get the b23/24 kernel built on my b21 install and try booting that up to see if I get the same problems?!?
