You do not.  I'm actively trying to get rid of these; unfortunately
the SDLC is making that difficult.  Instead you should use the gcc
bundled with Solaris Express in build 22 and later.

If you'd like to use gcc, please give it a try and join tools-gcc so
you can follow any new developments in that project.  If you'd like to
use Studio, you can do so with either set of sources; the non-gcc
sources are somewhat more recent at the moment.

Within a few months, the special gcc source drops will vanish, and you
will be able to use the bundled gcc to build the ordinary ON sources
with no modifications or extra tools needed.
