I'm having a problem installing nv27a x86 onto a Dell Precision 330. The
machine has a recent version of solaris10/express on it and that installed
without a problem.

The problem is that the keyboard locks out anytime after the GRUB menu. While
the install process is still within the GRUB menu the keyboard works. For
example, the next menu after GRUB is: "1. Solaris Interactive Install" "2.
Custom Jump Start" etc... and it's at this point where the keyboard locks out.

I've tried four things so far. 1) Appended the "acpi-user-options=8" to the
GRUB menu Solaris line but that made no difference. 2) Appended " -kdv" to the
GRUB menu Solaris line.Entered "moddebug/W0x80000000" and then ":c" at the
debugger prompt. The installation continued but when it got to the same menu as
above the keyboard was again locked out. 3) Reburned the media and tried to
install again but this also had the same result. 4) Disabled/enabled USB
support in the BIOS but again with the same result.

If I let the install continue just using the default selections, where no
keyboard input is required, everything looks ok. No errors are reported etc..

If anybody has any ideas I can give it a try.

                      Thank You,
                         Fred S.
