I wonder whether my earlier posting (below) was too trivial or too difficult?
How much of an overlap is there in Nexenta between Solaris 10 and Debian (2.4
kernel) control of peripherals?
"cdrecorder -scanbus" gives a SCSI target of "2". I have a Plextor SCSI
CDwriter available so I could add a SCSI card and the Plextor. Does this make
sense?
or/
Should I "emulate SCSI' in the Grub, or do one of the several possibilites for
over-riding the CDwriter interface bloclking given in Schily 's instructions
for ATAPI drives and the 2.4 kernel?
