I'm trying to connect some nice 10-15k rpm disks in my Blade 100. I have tried to use a PATA -> SATA converter with no success at all. I couldn't convince the boot prom to recognize either devices I tried. It was a SATA disk and a SATA DVD-fryer.
A cheap PCI SATA controller (sil 3112) isn't even recognized. Now I'm trying to use an ordinary LSI SCSI controller (1030 chip) but cfgadm claims that it's "unconfigured". It sure seems so. Does it even make sense to keep trying to add another controller to this machine ??
