Try to do a cfgadm -c "scsicard" and see if that configures the card.

Nope. I have tried most options so far and nothing happens.
Reconfiguration reboots, running devfsadm and more. Nada.

I just tried to hook up a CD-burner on IDE channel 2,
but cfgadm doesn't find it either.

Is there a secret ritual that has to be performed,
or do I need to mess around in OBP ??

I have tried to use a PATA -> SATA converter with no success at all.
I couldn't convince the boot prom to recognize either devices I tried.
It was a SATA disk and a SATA DVD-fryer.

A cheap PCI SATA controller (sil 3112) isn't even recognized.

Now I'm trying to use an ordinary LSI SCSI controller (1030 chip)
but cfgadm claims that it's "unconfigured". It sure seems so.

Does it even make sense to keep trying to add another controller
to this machine ??
