I would like to install Solaris Express - Community Release onto a Sun
Blade 100 with no CD/DVD drive and a new IDE hard disk. An attempt to
install over a busy 100Mbit network was abandoned after several days of
very slow progress ...

I have access to the following:

    * An x86_64 system running openSuSE 10.2 running Solaris Express -
        Community Release, build 54 under VMware Server, 1.0.1,
        build-29996;
    *   sol-nv-b54-sparc-dvd.iso file;
    *   Seagate ST916082 160Gb USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive;
    * SanDisk U3 Cruzer Micro 4Gb USB Flash Drive.

The U3 flash drive has the capability to emulate a USB CD/DVD drive but,
unfortunately, SanDisk Technical Support have infomed me that the
software and information needed to "burn" an arbitrary ISO image to the
device "is not available, as it is proprietary".

So I would like to format either the portable hard drive or the flash
drive and copy the contents of sol-nv-b54-sparc-dvd.iso to it so that it
can be used as an installation source for the Sun Blade 100.

Please tell me how to achieve this, or point me to suitable
documentation.

Thanks
