You'll need more than just that package. I think the easiest
thing for you to do would be to reinstall (you might as well
use the latest build while you're at it), chosing at least
the Developer option. That will give you everything you need
to build software.
BTW, did you know that Solaris already ships with gcc? Also,
Sun's Studio compilers are free, and tend to produce better
code than gcc. So I also recommend that you grab a copy of
that and install it too.
