I also found that I had the hostname twice in /etc/hosts (once as the real IP and once as 127.0.0.1.) I had initially set the host names via the GUI tool so didn't see that the actual file had an error. (If this is not correct the network/physical:default svc may get stuck in maintenance mode even tho the network interface is actually working.)
