Never done SVM, either, but it must be in the books.  Just for sanity 
check -- having installed on a slice on disk 0 and booted from it, can I 
in fact now use SVM to mirror that slice to a similarly-sized slice on 
disk 1?   "Slices" burn my brain out, they're not real disk partitions 
and they confuse the heck out of me.
