I admit it is a little confusing compared to GNU/Linux distributions. Unlike most GNU/Linux distributions, Solaris is distributed in a way that both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions are contained within a single distribution and both are installed. Most GNU/Linux distributions tend to have completely separate 32-bit and 64-bit versions instead. The beauty of Solaris is that this is (almost) completely transparent to the user instead. -- Shawn Walker, Software and Systems Analyst http://binarycrusader.blogspot.com/ "We don't have enough parallel universes to allow all uses of all junction types--in the absence of quantum computing the combinatorics are not in our favor..." --Larry Wall _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list [email protected]
