Im guessing here:
Did you try to install the package SUNWips in the LIVE installer mini
Solaris ?
Presumably one could :
Directly after the Graphic installer screen shows up after booting from the
DVD;
Right click the background an start a CDE terminal window.
look in /dev/rdsk to verify what devices are there.
cd to the directory ../Solaris10/Product/ on the DVD
pkgadd -d ./SUNWips
do a modload on whatever the drivers name is.
then do a devfsadm to try to rediscover all devices.
check /dev/rdsk for any change
Then continue the menu based installtion.
This is just a brainstorm it probably wont work ......
