I ran the command "format":

13:41:46 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ format
Searching for disks...done

AVAILABLE DISK SELECTIONS:
        0. c1d0 <DEFAULT cyl 4859 alt 2 hd 255 sec 63>
           /[EMAIL PROTECTED],0/[EMAIL PROTECTED],1/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/[EMAIL
PROTECTED],0

First, it showed only 1 hard drive.

As I googled, I ran the following commands:

drvconfig, devlinks, disks

I am not sure but one of those commands worked and now I get the
following information with "format":

13:41:55 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ format
Searching for disks...done

AVAILABLE DISK SELECTIONS:
        0. c1d0 <DEFAULT cyl 4859 alt 2 hd 255 sec 63>
           /[EMAIL PROTECTED],0/[EMAIL PROTECTED],1/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/[EMAIL
PROTECTED],0
        1. c2d0 <drive type unknown>
           /[EMAIL PROTECTED],0/[EMAIL PROTECTED],1/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/[EMAIL
PROTECTED],0
Specify disk (enter its number):

I assume that "c2d0" is my secondary hard drive. This is a disk which
had a working FreeBSD-6.2 OS in it before I attached it to my Solaris 10
machine.

What I want to know is that before formatting this drive, can I use some
kind of tool to retrieve some of my data on this FreeBSD drive?

Yes I should have back up the FreeBSD drive before removing it but I did
not!!

Is there a way out of this?

Thanking you...
