Just one simple question, maybe a stupid one: If the nfo driver is free, why isn't it included in Solaris Express Developers Edition or Solaris 10? Is there any reason for this? It would be a lot easier for Solaris users if the NIC driver was installed automatically. I've tried installing this driver for a year now without success. That's the reason why I bought an Ethernet card. Issues like these are the reason why some people stay away from Solaris. I know it is not Sun's fault if hardware manufacturers do not support Solaris, but now that someone took the time and effort to write a NIC driver for Solaris and made it free to redistribute(?) why not include it in Solaris? Is there any restriction to this? Thank you very much.
