Hi , So what is the ethernet card brand/type ?
The command /usr/X11/bin/scanpci should report an Ethernet Device if Solaris does recognice it Did you get any questions on Networking During Install ? If you did not get networking questions , you may have an unsupported Ethernet chip in your PC. If you run /usr/sbin/sys-unconfig The system will reboot and you will be asked all the networking questions again If Solaris does find a supported chipset. There is about a dozen unsupported networkdrivers here: http://homepage2.nifty.com/mrym3/taiyodo/eng/ -------------------------------------------------------------- Solaris is not Linux , Solaris is UNIX. http://www.levenez.com/unix/history.html#20 http://www.levenez.com/unix/ User guide for the text or CLI interface. http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/806-7612?l=en User guide for the GNOME GUI ( also named JDS in this book ) http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-0917?l=en http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/coll/1217.1?l=en //Lars This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list [email protected]
