I'm facing the same problem and I've tried both of your suggestions. scanpci reports pci bus 0x0002 cardnum 0x00 function 0x00: vendor 0x11ab device 0x4362 Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88E8053 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller
The reset/reboot did not solicit networking configuration information and still the network fails. I went to Marvell's website and downloaded another driver. The pkgadd -d . SKGEsol failed. The message read, installed by failed to attach. I'm not sure if all this means that the 88E8052 is not supported or not. Searching the web didn't yield any indications. I should add that I'm trying this in developers express. I'd like to use DHCP. The router is configured to static DHCP. Any suggestions as to what maybe the problem would be greatly appreciated.
