I have an HP SSL1016 tape autoloader that that presents a tape drive on SCSI ID
10 and the robotic controller on SCSI ID 11. The autoloader is connected via
an Adaptec 29320ALP-R PCI-X SCSI controller and the tape device is showing up
fine in my x86 install of OpenSolaris snv_70b, but the robotic controller on ID
11 is not being configured. The robotic device needs to show up as a "raw"
device (in Linux I currently use it as a "generic" device)... the mtx
documentation says that in Solaris, that could be a /dev/rdsk/x type device.
My question is, what command can I give to link up this hardware device on ID
11 to a configured entry in /devices and /dev? Or, more fundamentally, how do
I make this work?
