The rge is embedded in the board, it's a laptop.
the problem is in level 2 of the osi i guess, since there is no indication in
the ifconfig and /var/adm/messages when i pull of and the cable.
dladm always states that rge0 is 1000FDX with link up. so i guess in has
nothing to do with FQDDN.
But in any case it will be helpful what my /etc/hosts and /etc/hostname.rge0
should look like. i'm behind a NAT and don't have any domain.
Right now i plumb and configure the interface manually till i get it to work.
