I was wondering if anyone could help me with setting up my MacBook Pro (MBP) to be able to display X applications from my Solaris box? If there are any good posts/howto's/etc out there could you please let me know? Here's what I've done so far...
Installed X11 on MBP Run "ssh -X hostname" to connect to my Solaris Box Once logged in via ssh, I su - to root and then try to run an installer It complains that the DISPLAY environment variable is not set correctly, what should it be set to? I'm assuming it'd be my MBP's IP Address, 192.168.1.100 or 192.168.1.100:0 Any help would be much appreciated.
