Hi Angad.. the 14 color requirement is a must. So your best option is
to tweak the image itself so it has only a few colours in it. This
will convert to a more pleasent 14 color version than if you were to
use an image withs lots of colors.

The current one is 14 colours.. but since you add more colors of your
own, GIMP probably isnt able to cope correctly, and provides a
different output. You can try creating your on vector images, and then
converting them to xpm.
