The Version of Solaris that gives you the most flexibility/Choises And the greatest demands on prior knowledge is the Solaris eXpress Community Edition. http://www.opensolaris.org/os/downloads/sol_ex_dvd_1/ The next Build ( B88 ) of SXCE is supposed to contain ZFS Boot support. http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/on/flag-days/pages/2008041103/ > > What is the differences between free solaris 5/8 and > opensolaris? It was first released in January 2005. Its re-released with new functionality about twice a year. Opensolaris is the new Distro version with all the new features that still has not made it into Solaris 10 . SXCE is OpenSolaris bundled with the bits of Solaris 10 that can not be made in to OpenSource because of commercial deals SUN made with other vendors . The functionality of SXCE is therefore greater than OpenSolaris. //Lars This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list [email protected]
