Make a off system copy of your lilo or whatever boot manager config file and there are a couple of ways to to this:
1. You could follow this method, not tried but looks like it should work! http://blogs.sun.com/tonyb/entry/dual_boot_soalris_and_ubuntu Or load Xen environment using Solaris as your primary OS for example and create a large ZFS filesystem on format slice 5. I just tried new version of 1.6.2 VirtualBox http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads and loaded WinXP home addition under a ZFS image file and it works great now that it has been updated to work with Solaris ( I am using both 10u5 and snv_b91 that was created with lucreate and luupgrade with in a divvy format partition under Solaris2 fdisk partition 2 , the 1st partition is Windows XP. what is nice about VirtualBox it more of a VMWare like finished product and it allows differet types of Windows and Linux images to run under OpenSolaris or Solaris.
