This turns out to be much simpler than I thought, though I am afraid I might have done something wrong. After mounting a USB zfs-formatted hard disc, say, sol_pool: pfexec zpool import sol_pool All I had to do is to execute a typical (POSIX) chmod command: pfexec chmod 777 /sol_pool The ZFS USB disc will then behave, as far as trivial ACL (?) is concerned, like a FAT32 disc--i.e., no rwx restrictions on this disc. I don't think I have described this issue clearly enough. I apologize. But basically I just wanted to mount a USB hard disc that in many aspects act like a FAT32 disc, except that it allows files to exceed the 4 GB limit. Look like the procedure is pretty straightforward. ? This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list [email protected]
