Hi, Is there any way to resize /export/home so that I can create a slice for LiveUpgrade to use?
I forgot that the old install tool doesn't automatically create space for LiveUpgrade, and need to create it manually. I'd like to do this without re-installing if possible. There's no user data in /export/home that I'm worried about. Am I right in thinking I can do something like this: - Boot Solaris in single user mode - copy the files from /export/home to / - umount /export/home - use format to shrink slice 7 - add a new slice for LiveUpgrade (probably 8) - format slice 7 as UFS - mount /export/home on the resized slice - copy the files from / back to /export/home - reboot I'm going to have a go at working this out myself (don't mind too much if I brick this server, this is for educational purposes as much as anything), but if anybody can confirm whether this will work I'd appreciate it. thanks, Ross This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list [email protected]
