Release notes:
============
As always when installing the latest images, check out the release notes
for both x86 and SPARC for any known issues
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/indiana/resources/relnotes/200906/x86/
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/indiana/resources/relnotes/200906/sparc/
The above 2009.06 is a stable release and already has SRU1 applied to
it. SRUx are like patches but I do not dare mention the word "patch" on
this alias. I have been running 2009.06 since it was released and it
is solid.
There are newer, "use at your own risk" releases, currently at 121 which
will increment until the 2010.02 next stable release.

Hi Leslie,
I did not perform the installation on the server myself. In fact, it
is a server installed by someone from Sun called Henry Jen (for the
JXTA project).
I am not an expert with system administration, though I have learned a
lot in the past couple of days.
Can you tell me how I can update to the stable 2009.06 release? Or
should I go through Henry Jen?
Thanks,
JVerstry

Sorry, I should have read the error message properly. Looks like at
least one of your binaries is OpenSolaris 101 and the SunStudio
version is for the 2009.06 release 111b
You need to update to the stable 2009.06 release it seems. See
what other feedback you get first though from this alias.

Try a more qualified string like this if you are running 2009.06
pfexec pkg install pkg:/sunstudio1...@12.1-0.111

Hi,
I am trying to install sunstudio12u1 using:
pfexec pkg install sunstudio12u1
But I get:
Creating Plan -
pkg: the following package(s) violated constraints:
Package pkg:/sunwj6...@0.5.11,5.11-0.111 conflicts with
constraint in installed pkg:/entire:
Pkg SUNWj6dmo: Optional min_version:
0.5.11,5.11-0.101 max version: 0.5.11,5.11-0.101 defined by:
pkg:/entire
Does anyone know how to solve this?
Thanks,
JVerstry
