I installed OpenSolaris 06-2009 on a Dell 1525 (x86 laptop) and installed some
software including virtualbox. I think Virtualbox might be causing problems
because it keeps freezing when I run a guest then reboots when I try anything
with the keyboard. The host has 4gb ram and the guest has 1gb ram which works
no problem hosting on other OSes .....

I had the same issue a few months ago when I tried OpenSolaris and if I
remember correctly, I think it gave me 64bit upgrade(I have 32bit system) and
it ended up ruining the installation (kept doing it after updating old kernel
so I took OpenSolaris off thinking it was just a temporary bug.

not sure could this be related:
genunix: [ID 819705 kern.notice]
/platform/i86pc/kernel/drv/amd64/vboxusb: undefined symbol

I'm new to Solaris (from Linux) and new to vbox (from vmware) so I'm not sure
which one is causing the problem but it seems to be okay if I don't run
virtualbox.

If anyone has any recommendations/solutions, I would really appreciate them.
& if you need more log info, please let me know...Thank you
