Well, I've gone as far as I can tonight. Here are the entries for the start up...
findroot (pool_rpool,0,a) bootfs rpool/ROOT/opensolaris splashimage /boot/solaris.xpm foreground d25f00 background 115d93 kernel$ /platform/i86pc/kernel/$ISADIR/unix -B $ZFS-BOOTFS,console=graphic module$ /platform/i86pc/$ISADIR/boot_archive ... but it fails as per the last post... findroot (pool_rpool,0,a) Filesystem type is zfs, partition type 0xbf bootfs rpoool/BOOT/opensolaris splashimage /boot/solaris.xpm zip_read_data failed Error 37: File System not found. ...and the attempt to reset the zpool failed. So I still have no clue as to how to fix this. It can't be getting confused, because the SD card on the SATA adaptor is the only thing in there. There is still the chance that the SD card has gone faulty; I'll have to check that somehow, but the installation itself didn't complain; and this CD did install on to this card successfully before .... only I think I might have used one of the SD/IDE converter cards to actually install the OS. Yes ... that might be an avenue to explore ... see whether Open Solaris will install to the card while it is on the IDE channel ... because that is how I believe I installed it the first time around. That, however, is a task for tomorrow. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list [email protected]
