I don't even get the splash screen. The machine goes from the initial POST screen, to booting GRUB and then the screen immediately clears and I end up with the grub prompt. Once the BIOS passes to the bootloader, It all fails very quickly and efficiently. The only other thing I've ever seen fail with such blistering speed is the BSOD.
I tried the commands I thought would boot from hard disk 0,0 but that didn't work.
