I'm assuming the error is generated by the HDD, but it doesn't make sense that the HDD reports sector 0 is an invalid / non existing sector. Would anything change if you tell the Solaris ata driver not to use DMA when accessing the disk? Try booting the kernel by adding "-B ata-dma-enabled=0" at the end of the kernel$ line via grub. > Should i open a bug report? I didn't find any existing bug reports with "ID not found" errors from the ata driver, at http://bugs.opensolaris.org Seems to be a new and unknown problem. I'd file a bug, to document the problem. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list opensolaris-help@opensolaris.org
