I did some more testing but without any significant success. First thing I tried was to disable AHCI. So I went into the BIOS and set it to the default ENHANCED setting. Rebooted, and it was booting... until the audio device part. So first thought was: maybe it has something to do with AHCI. So I repeated the boot with exactly the same options - again, it freezed when enumerating the CPU cores. :-(
AHCI doesn't seem to be the problem then, so I re-enabled it. Then I retried with -B disable-ehci=true / -B disable-uhci=true. No success. I guess I'm lucky if it boots to the audio device part with these options. Next was playing around with the ACPI options. Boot with -B acpi-user-options=0x8: boots every time to the audio device lines, so this can't be bad. Boot with -B acpi-user-options=0x4: booted once - then the same as with AHCI. Boot with -B acpi-user-options=0x2: freezes even earlier than AHCI. To put it short: it seems I have to boot with -B acpi-user-options=0x8. But still it doesn't want to boot to the login. USB isn't the problem. May it be important that I'm running SATA only? 2009.06 boots though so I can't imagine that it might cause trouble... -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list opensolaris-help@opensolaris.org
