The 32-bit (Open)Solaris kernel does not support
disk drives with a capacity >= 1TB.  You should
find a message in /var/adm/messages similar to:

    WARNING: ...:    disk has ...... blocks, which is too large for a 32-bit 
kernel

The 64-bit kernel has no such limitation.
