Not all Pentium 4's are 64-bit capable, although I
_think_ that _maybe_ those that can do HyperThreading
are supposed to be 64-bit capable.

Both 32-bit and 64-bit are in the distro for Intel; they're not
separate downloads or anything like that.  Maybe it's not recognizing
your CPU properly.  Also, something I just read seems to suggest a minimum
amount of RAM may be needed for 64-bit mode...not sure if that's
still true.

Maybe given more detailed info as to your cpu type and memory
someone might be able to tell you better.  Output of

/usr/sbin/prtpicl -v -c cpu

and

/usr/sbin/prtconf -pv|grep Mem

might be sufficient to do that.

(I don't have a clue exactly which CPUs are suitable, not having
anything Intel with that old a CPU, and not having attempted to
study the relevant code.)
